Watchlist and notifications

Following tokens to build your watchlist, and the notifications and emails Token Gems sends you.

Following tokens

Select Follow on a token's page, or the follow icon beside it in any token list, to add it to your watchlist. Select it again to unfollow. Your watchlist is the Tokens list under your profile's Following tab, newest first; it is public, like the rest of your profile.

Tokens you follow bring their posts into your Feed, and their big price moves into your notifications. You can also follow a launch to hear when it goes live (see Launches).

Followed tokens, followed launches and followed users share one limit set by your rank: 10 at Amethyst, 30 from Sapphire up.

Notifications

The bell in the top bar shows how many notifications you have not read. Open it to read them, mark one or all as read, or jump to your notification settings. Announcements from Token Gems are pinned at the top.

You are notified when:

  • someone likes your post, with likes on the same post grouped together;
  • someone replies to your post;
  • someone mentions you in a post;
  • someone follows you;
  • a token you follow moves up or down 20% or more in 24 hours, at most once per token per day;
  • predictors you follow made new calls the day before (see Predictors);
  • your daily streak is about to end;
  • someone you referred becomes active on Token Gems;
  • a launch you follow goes live, and you now follow its token.

Token Gems also tells you about the reports and token edits you submitted and about your posts turned into reports; these cannot be turned off, and they are never emailed.

Emails

With an email linked to your account, the notifications listed above also reach you by email a little later, unless you have already read them on the site. Replies to your posts are never emailed, likes are emailed as a digest, and watchlist alerts are emailed as a digest if you have not been by recently.

Choosing what you receive

In Settings, under Notifications, tick or untick each kind separately for In-app and for Email, then select Save Changes. Turning a kind off in-app stops its new emails too; an email already on its way still arrives unless you also untick Email. Email choices need a linked email.

Every email has an Unsubscribe from these emails link. It turns off that one kind of email without logging in, and works for 30 days; after that, change it in Settings.
