Connecting your wallet, your username and bio, your profile's tabs, following people, and your settings.
Connecting your wallet
You sign up and log in with a crypto wallet, Ethereum or Solana: select Connect Wallet in the top bar. Your first login creates your account, at Amethyst rank, with 10 GEMs. If you arrived through a friend's referral link, they may be credited once you become active, subject to the terms.
Everything else, from browsing tokens to reading posts, works without an account. Your account menu holds your Profile, Copy Address, Settings and Disconnect.
Username, bio and avatar
- Username: set it from your profile. It must be 3 to 30 characters of letters, digits,
_,.and-, start with a letter or digit, and be free. You can set it only once. Your profile's address then uses it. - Bio: 10 to 140 characters, edited on your profile or in Settings.
- Avatar: assigned at random when you sign up; it cannot be changed.
Setting a username and verifying an email or phone are what Sapphire rank requires (see Ranks and rewards).
Your profile
A profile shows the user's avatar, wallet address, username, rank and GEMs earned, and these tabs:
- Feed, on your own profile only: posts by you and the people you follow, posts you liked, posts about tokens you follow, and posts mentioning you or the people you follow.
- Posts, Replies and Liked: what the user wrote and liked.
- Followers, and Following, which lists the users they follow and the tokens on their watchlist.
- Calls: the record of their predictions (see Predictions).
Your own profile also has Post and Referral Link, which copies the link that credits you for the people you bring. Anyone's profile can be shared with its share button.
Following people
Select Follow on someone's profile to see their posts in your Feed and, when they are standout predictors, to be notified of their calls. You cannot follow yourself. Followed users count against the same rank limit as followed tokens and launches.
Settings
Settings, from the account menu, has four parts:
- Connected accounts: link an email, phone, Google or Apple account to your wallet. An account already linked to another Token Gems user cannot be linked.
- Profile: your bio.
- Notifications: what you receive in-app and by email (see Watchlist and notifications).
- Newsletter: subscribe to the Token Gems newsletter, once an email is linked.
Select Save Changes to keep your changes.
