What a launch is

A launch is a page a founder creates for a token before its contract exists. It has no price, market cap, holders or Score, and nothing on it is verified by Token Gems. Upcoming Launches lists the live ones, newest first.

Creating a launch

Select Create a launch on the launches page, logged in, and fill in the name (up to 100 characters), the symbol (up to 20), the description (up to 2,000), a logo URL and the website, X and Telegram links. How many launches you can have live at once depends on your rank: 1 at Sapphire, 3 at Emerald and Ruby, 5 at Diamond. Amethyst cannot create one (see Ranks and rewards).

The creator can Edit launch or Delete launch at any time. A deleted launch is marked as removed by its creator and leaves the list; its posts stay.

Following and posting

Anyone logged in can Follow a launch, and mention it in a post with $ like a token. A launch page has two tabs, Posts and Followers.

When the token goes live

Once the token is deployed, the creator claims it on Token Gems (see Token pages), then selects Claim token on the launch with its chain and contract address. This cannot be undone: the launch's posts and followers move to the token, its followers are notified that it is live, and the launch's address leads to the token page from then on.
