The Score
What the Token Gems Score of a token measures, what lowers it, and how it differs from the community sentiment.
What the Score is
Every token carries a Score, a rating from 0 to 100 shown on its page, in the token lists and leaderboards, and in its embed widget. A token not rated yet shows a dash.
The Score is relative: each input is measured against the other tokens Token Gems follows, so a token's Score can move when the rest of the market moves, even if nothing about the token changed.
What goes into it
The Score combines five measures of the token:
- Price performance: how its price has changed over recent months;
- Holders: how many wallets hold the token;
- Holder distribution: how evenly the supply is spread across holders rather than concentrated in a few wallets;
- Community activity: how many posts on Token Gems mention the token;
- Trading volume over the last day.
What lowers it
- Volatility: a price that swings sharply compared with other tokens lowers the Score.
- Price confidence: when the token's price is less reliable, the Score is lowered too.
When it changes
The Score is updated regularly, and each token's Score is saved to its history.
Gem Hunters Sentiment
The Gem Hunters Sentiment beside the Score is a separate number that reflects how the community votes on the token, Gem or Rug: the more Gem votes it gets, the higher it reads. How a vote also records your call is covered in Predictions.
The Score is a rating of market and community data, not financial advice.
