Categories and leaderboards
The token leaderboard, its columns and filters, and how categories group tokens by sector, class, theme, launchpad and community.
The leaderboard
Leaderboard in the top bar opens the Crypto Token Leaderboard, and each chain has a leaderboard of its own. It ranks tokens by Score, highest first, 100 per page.
A token is ranked once it has a Score and enough reliable market data; a token that misses either is left out. Being ranked says nothing about whether a token is worth buying. Stablecoins and wrapped tokens are left out, except when you filter by category or browse a category.
The columns are Token, Price, 1d %, 1w %, 1m %, Market Cap, Volume 24h, Score, Category, Holders, Holder Distribution and Mc/Rev, market cap over revenue. Select a column header to sort by it, or to filter by it: by chain on Token, by category on Category, and by a range on the figures. Each filter shows how many tokens have data for it. Logged in, a follow icon beside each token adds it to your watchlist.
Categories
Categories group tokens along five dimensions:
- Sector: what the project does, such as AI or DeFi;
- Class: what kind of token it is, such as a meme coin or a stablecoin;
- Theme;
- Launchpad: where the token was launched;
- Community.
Categories nest: a category can hold narrower ones. Sector, class and theme are assigned to tokens by AI, and Token Gems assigns the rest. Users cannot change a token's categories.
Browsing categories
All categories lists every category with its tokens, market cap, tokens up over 7 days, posts and followers, sortable by each.
Each dimension has its own page with a market map: each tile is a category sized by market cap and coloured by its tokens' overall price change over 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Select a tile to look inside it.
A category's own page shows its tokens, market cap, Avg gem score (the typical Score of its leading tokens), 24-hour volume, tokens up this week and its Gem Hunters Sentiment; its top gainers and losers of the week; recent signals, such as a token climbing or falling sharply in rank or Score; what the community is saying; its narrower and related categories; and a leaderboard of its tokens, which your filters narrow further.
Rankings and categories describe market data, not financial advice.
