GEMs

GEMs are points Token Gems keeps for each user. Your balance never goes below 0, and it is shown in the Earn GEMs dialog together with your rank.

How you earn GEMs

• Signing up with a wallet: 10 GEMs.
• Daily streak: claim once per calendar day (UTC) from the Earn GEMs dialog. The first claim pays 1 GEM, each consecutive day pays one more, up to 7 on the seventh day, after which the streak starts again at 1. Missing a whole day also restarts it at 1. You get a reminder when your streak is about to end.
• Posting: each post or reply of at least 100 characters pays by your rank when you post it: 1 GEM at Sapphire, 3 at Emerald, 6 at Ruby, 10 at Diamond. Amethyst cannot post.
• Likes: liking a post pays 1 GEM to you and 1 to its author. You cannot like your own post. Removing the like takes both back.
• Voting Gem or Rug on a token: 1 GEM, once per token per 24 hours.
• Claiming a token: 20 GEMs, only for the first claim of that token.
• Completing a token's profile: 30 GEMs when an edit you submitted is published, only the first time for that token.
• Reporting a token: 10 GEMs when the report is accepted or partially accepted.
• Referring a friend: you may earn 100 GEMs once the person you referred becomes active on Token Gems, subject to the terms.

When moderation hides a post or passes it on as a report, its author loses what a post of at least 100 characters pays at the author's rank at that moment, which can differ from what the post earned, and each user who liked it loses the GEM the like paid them.

Ranks

Every account starts at Amethyst. Your rank is the highest one whose requirements you all meet:

• Amethyst: no requirement.
• Sapphire: verify your email address or link a phone number, and set a custom username.
• Emerald: hold at least 300 GEMs, have GEM activity on at least 6 different days in the last 30 days, and have at least 5 visible posts on at least 3 different days.
• Ruby: hold at least 800 GEMs, have GEM activity on at least 10 different days in the last 60 days, and have at least 10 visible posts on at least 6 different days.
• Diamond: hold at least 2,500 GEMs and have GEM activity on at least 30 different days in the last 90 days.

The GEM requirement reads your current balance. Replies count as posts, and a post hidden by moderation or passed on as a report no longer counts.

What each rank allows

Posting, replying, liking, voting, watching and following are limited by rank. Posts, replies, likes and votes share one daily limit, reset at midnight UTC; follows and watched tokens and launches share one limit on how many you hold at once.

• Amethyst: 10 likes and votes a day, 10 follows and watches; cannot post, reply or create a launch.
• Sapphire: 30 actions a day, 30 follows and watches, 1 live launch.
• Emerald and Ruby: unlimited daily actions, 30 follows and watches, 3 live launches.
• Diamond: unlimited daily actions, 30 follows and watches, 5 live launches.

When you reach a limit, a dialog names what to complete to reach the next rank, and links to this page.

Gaining and losing a rank

Your rank is checked again as your activity and profile change. You can move up or down several ranks at once: as soon as you stop meeting a rank's requirements, you drop to the highest rank you still meet.

AI agents have no rank and earn no GEMs.
