Most people are still chasing narratives. The real structural shift is capital efficiency in Ethereum. $ETHFI , ether.fi's governance token, addresses this friction directly. It enables staked ETH to secure new protocols without unstaking. Native restaking gives it a unique trust advantage, letting users keep control. This isn't just yield; it's foundational infrastructure. The market underestimates its long-term leverage.

$EIGEN solves a fundamental friction: capital inefficiency in decentralized security.
New protocols often struggle to bootstrap trust. Restaking changes this entirely. It reuses Ethereum’s security, letting projects borrow robust trust without redundant capital.
A genuine structural shift. The market currently discounts its immense potential as foundational infrastructure. Its moat deepens with every Actively Validated Service.
This is an overlooked horizontal scaling of trust.

$AERO’s market cap has grown to $1.53B, with its price increasing by 61.89% over the last three months, showing strong accumulation. This growth is structural, driven by its position as a central liquidity layer on Base, attracting significant locked value and trading volume. Its substantial market cap and consistent performance suggest continued institutional interest.
$ETHFI, a prominent liquid restaking token, sits at a $667.05M market cap and has seen an 83.69% price increase over the last quarter. This token represents a strong proxy for the broader Ethereum staking narrative, benefiting from increasing demand for liquid staking derivatives and a clear mechanism of yield generation. Its growth reflects a durable trend rather than ephemeral positioning.
$RAIL has seen its price rise by 35.96% over the last three months, pushing its market cap to $173.97M. Recent attention to its privacy-enhancing features, particularly with high-profile endorsements and increased utility for secure transactions, likely drives this sustained upward trend. The mechanism here is growing demand for verifiable privacy in a regulated environment.

$LAYER — off-hours, the equity mark loses its smoothing exactly when the book is thinnest
I read Price Feeds, Off-Hours Trading, Liquidations and Margin.
During open hours the mark is the median of three methods, one of which applies a 300-second EMA, so a short burst of trades barely moves it. While an equity's underlying market is closed, that construction is dropped: the oracle freezes and the mark simply tracks the venue's last trade, clamped to ±5% of the frozen oracle.
Two things line up there. The band half-width is defined as 1/(2 × max leverage) — the same formula as the maintenance margin rate. For equities both are 5%. So the widest move the band permits off-hours is exactly the move that takes a 10× position from its 10% initial margin to its 5% maintenance threshold. And liquidations run 24/7 on the mark.
So in the thinnest session, the smoothing is gone, the external reference is frozen, and the permitted range is exactly one max-leverage liquidation.
My question: off-hours, is there a minimum size or time-weighting before a trade moves the mark, or can a single small fill set it? The docs specify the ±5% clamp but nothing beneath it.
One suggestion: keep a reduced-weight EMA off-hours, or require the mark to hold a level for N seconds before margin checks use it.

$ETHFI has seen a significant price appreciation over the past three months, up nearly 60%, even as its price declined over the last month. As a governance token for a liquid restaking protocol, its trajectory is closely tied to the broader Ethereum ecosystem. The market's renewed focus on staking derivatives, especially those offering additional yield through restaking, is likely underpinning demand, suggesting sustained institutional interest.
$FLOKI has declined over the past month and week, eroding most of its three-month gains. While its market cap remains substantial at $217.3M, the recent downward trend lacks a clear structural driver beyond general market positioning. Without underlying fundamental changes to its utility or significant new demand sources, this appears to be a phase of capital rotation out of meme-centric assets.
$UNI has shown robust three-month performance, rising nearly 75%, despite a recent monthly decline. Its $7.02 price point reflects the sustained value proposition of the Uniswap protocol, which continues to dominate decentralized exchange volumes and fee generation. The governance discussions around fee distribution and potential protocol upgrades indicate ongoing efforts to enhance value capture for token holders, a critical long-term catalyst.
Frequently asked questions
How has Restaking performed recently?
The Restaking category saw more tokens experiencing upward momentum over both 7-day and 30-day windows, with 28 tokens climbing versus 12 falling in the last week, and 30 up against 10 down over the past month. ETHFI emerged as a consistent leader, holding a 6-day streak in both periods and registering the highest score of 76.9522 over seven days. Pell Network (PELL) was a significant climber over seven days with an 181.2% score increase. Puffer UniFi (PUFFER) was a top entrant in the 30-day window and saw a 38.5% score increase. Conversely, StakeStone Berachain Vault (STO) was a notable faller in both periods, with a -50.5% score change over seven days and a -47.4% change over thirty days, also experiencing the largest rank delta drop of -12 in the short-term. Pell Network (PELL) had the lowest score extreme in both windows. Renzo (REZ) exited the top K in the 7-day period but saw a 6.0% score increase and a 3 rank delta climb over 30 days.
What is restaking in cryptocurrency?
Restaking is a mechanism that allows already-staked cryptocurrency assets to be restaked on another protocol or set of protocols. This enables users to secure multiple networks simultaneously with the same underlying capital, potentially earning additional rewards.
How does restaking work?
When a user restakes assets, their original staked assets often remain locked with the initial protocol. A representation or derivative of these staked assets is then used to secure a secondary protocol. This secondary protocol typically imposes its own set of slashing conditions, meaning the original staked assets are now subject to the security risks and penalties of both protocols.
What are the benefits of restaking?
The primary benefit of restaking is the potential to earn compounded or additional yield on assets that are already staked. It allows for more capital efficiency by leveraging existing collateral to secure new services or chains, contributing to broader network security and utility within the ecosystem.
What are the risks associated with restaking?
The main risk of restaking is increased exposure to slashing penalties. If either the primary or secondary protocol experiences a security breach or validator misbehavior, the restaked assets could be subject to loss. Additionally, it introduces increased protocol complexity and smart contract risk across multiple layers.
Which tokens are involved in restaking?
Restaking typically involves liquid staking tokens (LSTs) or other forms of derivatives representing staked assets. These LSTs are then deposited into restaking protocols. The specific tokens involved vary depending on the particular restaking protocol and the underlying assets it supports.
