What makes MPLX special?

Spent some time on metaplex.com without connecting a wallet. The launch token flow is smoother than I expected. Clear steps, and it tells you right away when a field is missing. The docs are well organized too.
Two things stood out, though. Searching "$MPLX" brings up several fake Metaplex tokens with the same logo, and only a small checkmark marks the real one. That could easily trip up newer users. Also, the guide says you deposit SOL, but the pool I looked at was collecting USDC, and I couldn't find anything explaining the difference.
The homepage also took a few seconds to show any content. Good overall, just some rough edges.

Metaplex's Launch Pool contribution panel could make one important distinction clearer: the minimum needed for graduation versus the soft cap.On the CHIMP sale page, Sale Terms lists a 25,000 USDC graduation minimum and a 250,000 USDC soft cap. The contribution panel highlights progress toward the soft cap and an implied FDV, but doesn't separately show whether the graduation minimum has been met.
The information exists, but users have to connect two different sections to understand the current launch condition.
My suggestion: show minimum-condition status beside the wallet button, followed by a separate soft-cap progress bar. Below the minimum, explain what happens if it remains unmet at closing. Once reached, clarify that settlement and trading are still separate steps. Above the soft cap, surface the excess-refund rules.
Could this status also explain how withdrawals before closing affect whether the pool graduates?
This is feedback on Metaplex's launch interface, not a recommendation to buy MPLX or CHIMP.

I built a browser NFT drop tool on an SVM chain that runs Token Metadata at the same program id (Cookie Chain), so this is your $MPLX program, tested off Solana mainnet. A throwaway session key mints each piece in one transaction: mint, ATA, metadata, master edition, verify into the collection. Two findings. Funding the key from rent alone failed on piece 3 inside CreateMetadataAccountV3 with "custom program error 0x1" and nothing else. The cause was the 0.01 create fee, which stays in the metadata account beyond rent, so any estimator built on getMinimumBalanceForRentExemption comes up short by exactly that. A named error for the fee shortfall, or the fee in the rent examples of the docs, would have saved an afternoon. SignMetadata costs 12.4k to 12.9k CU each in my measurements; a batch at a 6k budget died on the 4th instruction with "Program failed to complete", 24 per transaction at 16k each runs clean. I could not find CU figures in the docs. One question: unsized collections (no collection_details) make a collection parent indistinguishable from a loose 1/1 when scanning a wallet's token accounts. Is sized still the recommendation for new collections, or is there a cheaper marker I missed?

$MPLX I tested Metaplex's no-code token launch wizard as "Myself" up to the image step. The biggest issue was silent progress loss: after entering a name, ticker and description and reaching the image step, I refreshed the page. It returned to the first screen without a warning, and continuing again showed all three fields empty. Saving a browser draft or warning before reload would prevent users from re-entering their launch details.
I also noticed that Summary presents "Supply: 1,000,000,000" as editable, but clicking it returns to Token details, where no supply control exists. The Genesis docs say supply is currently fixed at 1B, so this row should be read-only and explain the constraint.
I stopped before image upload or Metaplex sign-in; no token was created. Docs: https://www.metaplex.com/docs/dev-tools/cli/genesis/launch
