Gems & Rewards
GEMs are points tracked in the database.
Certain features are locked until you connect a wallet and achieve a specific rank.

Receive a like | 1 | Post author earns 1 GEM per like received |
Daily streak claim | 1–7 | Claim once per day; streak goes from 1 to 7, then resets; GEMs equal streak count |
Refer user to Sapphire | 100 | One-time reward when referred user reaches Sapphire rank |
Unlike a post | -1 | Both the user and the post author lose 1 GEM |
Post rejected | -1 to -10 | Author loses creation reward (-10); each liker loses 1 GEM |

If rank requirements are no longer met, the user is demoted to the next lower rank.
